Welcome to our very first creative Sew Along for Season Five:
“Have followed all seasons and took the plunge to follow along this go round!
The denim shirt was one my daughter put in the donate pile. The dress was mine from a few years back. I have lost 60 pounds and the dress did not fit. Was so excited to see how well the flowers from the dress went with the flowers on the shirt.
Having fun sewing along!
Thank you Leslee for taking the time to share your beautiful Statement Sleeve with us!
If you are interested in sewing along with any of the challenges, feel free to send your before and after pictures to email@example.com
We’d love to see what you are creating, too.
If you haven’t had a chance to vote for your favorite Statement Sleeve, click here.
This season, if you have more than one favorite, or you’d like to vote for your favorite more than once, you can come back and vote again after 24 hours. YAY!
That looks fantastic! Are the refashioned sleeves attached to the shirt?
Oh, and congratulations on the weight loss. You’re a sewing and a healthy lifestyle inspiration. ❤️
Thank you! The sleeves are attached. 😊
Very clever and inspiring. Well done.

Well done, Leslee
Thank you 😊
Those sleeves match perfectly. I love how this turned out.
Thank you 😊
I did just vote and then I was taken to a link to share on Facebook or Twitter. I clicked FB and a picture came up of one of the contestants, not even the one I had voted. If you want us to share so that others have the opportunity to vote than why does one picture appear – making it look like that is the one I voted for? That needs adjustment on your web page.
This is a great opportunity for these contestants. The link to vote is not user friendly and cumbersome which makes it difficult to come back daily and place your vote or even invite other people the opportunity to vote.
The pictures are interesting – I understand there were limitations on the pictures that were to be selected by the contestant / or shown; yet there seems to be an unlimited number of photos for a certain contestant. Why not give equal photo coverage to all applicants?
Again, this is a great contest but seems like you are not representing the idea to the public that you opened to your contestants.
Thank you Lynn for your suggestions. The poll platform I’m using is Crowdsignal, which is provided by WordPress.
I noticed the same thing on the share to Facebook. I will contact Crowdsignal and see if there is a way to change that. That’s the unfortunate thing about Facebook shares, it doesn’t usually let you determine which picture comes up.
I’m sorry the poll is cumbersome for you, on my devices it comes up pretty user friendly, I wonder if using a different browser would help?
in the meantime, I will explore some different options for voting. I don’t want this to be hard for anyone, it’s just supposed to be a friendly sewing competition. 🙂
