Summer means backyard BBQs, fun in the sun, and beach parties, but no one wants to be slapping pesky insects when venturing into the great outdoors. You can wave bye-bye to bugs and look great doing it when you wear these fun insect repellent bracelets. Gather up some embroidery floss in bright colors, whip up a little peppermint oil insect repellent and you’ll be on your way to some itch-free outdoor adventures this summer.
Seriously! How cute is this twist on the ol’ friendship bracelet!?

Happy Summer!

Feel free to pin!!! 🙂
This is a super useful idea!! I will have to try this!! The kids love the rubber bracelets that have the repellant on them, but I like the idea of having something easily “refilled”. Way to go and thanks for sharing!!
Oh I’m so happy this will be useful and fun for you to do with your kids!!!
What a wonderful plan.
Thank you!!! 🙂
Great idea and probably smells lovely as well as looks pretty. Is that your grand daughter modeling? My how she has grown up!
Thank you, Kelli. No granddaughters in this one, Kelli. My hand model is Rylee, Cooper’s girlfriend. The kids fishing and by the horse are my borrowed kids. 🙂 Hope all is well with you.
I love the idea that these bracelets can be soaked again and again. Great idea!
Maybe I will soak one in Avon Skin So Soft oil. This is some great mosquito repellent.
I’ve heard that is wonderful repellent as well. Great idea, Susan. 🙂
Much cuter than a dryer sheet in your pocket!
Oh, I’ve never heard of putting a dryer sheet in your pocket. You sure would smell good. 🙂
What a great idea, I love the bright colors! As always, your photos and video are perfect!
Oh Susan, you are always so sweet and encouraging! Thank you!

lovely idea, great and easy to follow film too
Thank you so much for your nice comment! I’m glad you enjoyed it and I hope you get a chance to try making one sometime.
Could yu use rubbing alcohol instead of vodka for the spray repellant?
I’m not sure Gloria, I’ve never tried rubbing alcohol.
