I love the ombre effect. It’s on everything these days, clothes, decor and even hair. It’s such a beautiful look and super easy to do yourself. You can update the style of any white thrift store shirt quickly and easily by just using some regular colored dye.
You’ll need a plastic tub, rubber gloves, salt, dye, a wooden stir stick, and a white shirt. Cotton shirts work best for this kind of project. You can use shirts made from other fibers, but the colors will be different.

Just love the ombré dyed shirt. I tried ice dyeing with a friend a few weeks ago…….so easy & loads of fun. You’ve just given me another idea.
Would love to come to your book launch party but sorry, can’t as I will be out of town.
I’ve never heard of ice dyeing. I’m so curious. How do you do it?

Thank you, Ann! I love this color, too. 🙂

Oh, this would be so pretty on lace, Dagmar!
I have some shirts that have a few stains on them. I wonder if this would help cover them up? Thanks for the tutorial!
Good idea! Thanks ♥

Lovely colour!!
O.K., color me slow but although I know how to comment, I’m not sure about the pinning? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Between you and me…. my daughter and I would both love your book. Hmmm Christmas is coming, but would sure love to win at least one. Thanks for the chance.
I would like to try this too – your results are stunning! I pinned it to my refashions board.
