Here’s an idea for the next time you blow out your flip flop in Margaritaville. Don’t throw it away. Instead, fix it up with some of that cute bias tape you’ve been making and look for your lost shaker of salt in style.
Click here or on one of the pictures to see the “how to”.
To thank you for taking the time to check out the tutorial, if you pin and leave a comment your name will be entered into a drawing to win some more of this cute handmade bias tape.
Congratulations to:
Cindy Riley

Thank you, Marilyn!
I just went through the posts I’ve missed, and now I’m all caught up on your blog. I pinned several of the tutorials. Great stuff! Looking forward to your book.
Thank you so much, Trudy! I really hope your husband is feeling better and that all is going well in your life!
Thank you. He is doing much better. We are taking it day by day, and staying the course. Thank your kind thoughts of us. It is very encouraging.
Cute idea! I thought maybe the cut off rubber flips could be threaded through the bias tape for some weight? Just a thought.
Is there a “Beauty of Bias Tape” contest at the end of your series? Just another thought….
That’s a great idea!
I like the use of the bias tape as flip flops and shoe laces, but love the usage on the cut-off shorts 🙂
Please enter me in the contest; I pinned the tutorial, but have no facebook page to comment on.
Thank you, Mother Deer! Your name is definitely in the hat!
I pinned to my tips board because I think these are great tips for using your own ready made bias tape! Thank you for sharing.
You are so welcome, Shelly! Thank YOU for pinning!
What a wonderful idea, I’m gonna look in my closet to see what I can revamp!
Have fun Amy!
Lots of ideas for fun uses of bias tape, Beth.
Thank you, I literally could make bias tape forever and be happy. Weird, I know…..

Your welcome!
Such a clever idea for fixing up broken flipflops, makes them look cuter too!
Thanks so much for your words of encouragement!
Those flip flops are ADORABLE! And I love the idea of using them as laces too!

Thank you, Miche!
I love these ideas! I found you from Pillows a-la-Mode. I’ve not seen printed bias tape near The Land of Making Do (our farm), but I could make my own from printed fabric, I guess. You have a lovely site! 🙂
Katherine from Pillows a-la-mode is such a wonderful woman. Have fun making bias tape, Kim!!!
Now I can go to Margaritaville in style! Those flip flops are adorable. Penny
Hey, Penny! We need to go to Margaritaville again!
Can you feel the knots on the bottom of the ‘flop’? I have a hard time with flip flops, but these are so darn cute 🙂
Hi Tami,
The knot actually settles into the hole where the plastic part was and doesn’t bother my foot at all.
Thanks for asking,
Beth
