Well, it’s been fun.
So fun in fact, I decided to host a Refashion Runway: Season Two!
But more about that later.
I know you’ve been waiting to find out the winner of the Summer Dress Challenge and want to know who will be crowned the overall winner of the First Ever Refashion Runway….
Let’s start with the winner of the Summer Dress Challenge.
The winner of the Summer Dress Challenge is………
Miche from Buttons and Birdcages! She wowed everyone this week with her cute, heart cut-out, summer dress refashion.
Congratulations, Miche! You always rise to the occasion to create something fun and fabulous each week!!!
Now, on to the big announcement of the overall winner of the entire First Ever Refashion Runway…..
Let’s do this like the Miss America Contest and announce the runners up first.
Our third runner up is Mary from Thrifty Chic. It’s been so fun seeing what her technical mastermind created throughout this season. Talk about some serious sewing skills. She will be the best dressed teacher at her school next year!!!
Here are her creations from this season:
We certainly won’t forget Mary’s winning Copycat look:
Mary will be taking home a gift certificate from Crafty Stacy.
Thank you, Mary!!!
And now on to the second runner up.
Our second runner up is Miche from Buttons and Birdcages. It’s been fun to see Miche’s amazing photos that highlight her fun and playful styles. I always looked forward to seeing how she photographed her outfits.
Here’s a look back at her fun refashions:
and of course today’s winning outfit:
Miche will be taking home a gift certificate from Pink Chalk Fabrics.
Thank you, Miche!
Our first runner up is Elizabeth from The Hungry Octopus!
She is a talented and creative seamstress, designing beautiful clothes from the most unlikely things. I can’t wait to see what she has in store for us in the future!!!
Here’s a look back at all of Elizabeth’s refashions this season:
Elizabeth will be taking home a nice gift certificate from the Fat Quarter Shop.
and a nice package of Tupperware from Kathy Gilliland.
Thank you, Elizabeth!
I really wish someone would’ve invented a computer that spewed out confetti and balloons just for this moment! 🙂
And now…… the envelope please………
The newly crowned winner of the First Ever Refashion Runway is…….
Sally from Charity Shop Chic!!!!!!!!
She has amazed us with her creative refashions all through this runway competition:
From the Stripes Challenge:
to the Denim Challenge:

and the Summer Dress Challenge:
Thank you so much, Sally for all of your hard work to make Refashion Runway a success!
Sally is taking home the Grand Prize from Coats and Clark. A prize package worth $100.00!!
and some beautiful handmade fabric flowers from the Rachel Berry Blog.
So there you have it.
The First Ever Refashion Runway.
Thanks everyone for making this such a HUGE success!! From our hard working and talented contestants, to our generous sponsors, to the people who sewed along, to everyone who voted and commented. I’ve met so many new friends along the way. You guys ROCK!!
There will definitely be a Season Two of Refashion Runway. Stay tuned for the Open Casting Call.
In the meantime, if you’d like to try out, get busy and head to the thrift store, rev up your sewing machines, cook up some original refashions, fire up your cameras, and take some interesting pictures of your befores and afters. I’m really looking forward to seeing what the next season brings.
Also, if you’d like to be a prize sponsor of next season, or you know of someone who would like to be a prize sponsor, email me at email@example.com.

Congratulations Beth on a great contest! Congratulations to all the participants and especially to the winners. Fabulous “show”!! Even though I don’t sew clothes, I had so much fun viewing and voting. Looking forward to Season Two!!
It’s nice to know that even non-sewists enjoyed this!!! Thanks for the kind words!!
Congratulations to Sally and to all the participants. I was inspired from seeing the different ways the ladies approached the challenges. I loved the way they were able to look with a creative eye at a piece of clothing, and instead of just altering to fit, to think how to transform it or combine it with another item.
Thank you, Beth, for hosting this fun event, and yes, I voted!
You are so welcome!! It’s worth all the hard work to know you enjoyed this!!
Thank you so much, Beth, for all your hard work. What a huge success! So looking forward to Season 2. Congrats to ALL the ladies!
Yay!! And thank YOU for being a prize sponsor!!
This is the most funsite! I just discovered you a couple of days ago and I can’t wait to start on some neat new outfits. I’m sorry that I did not get to see the contestants b4 clothing to see where they came from, but I am totally blown away by all the results. I am so tired of most of the clothes that are out there. They just don’t excite me. But these creations are so much fun!! Congrats to all of you. You have plenty to proud of!
Thank you, Debi! Check out some of the previous posts to see what clothes the contestants started with and to see some of the earlier contestants refashions. For more ideas, click on the Tutorials page under my banner. Happy sewing!!!
I live a sheltered life. I never even heard of this until tonight, browsing the sewing category on wordpress. *sigh* to think of all the fun I’ve missed.
Oh but don’t despair, Lubby Girl! There will be a Refashion Runway Season Two coming up! Stay tuned……… 🙂
My remote is set to this channel! 😆
Hey Beth! I’m so sad this has come to an end! I have had a blast doing this competition and am so thankful that I got to be a part of it! It’s been so fun to get to know new people and be challenged each week as well! Thanks so much for hosting this, and congratulations to Sally and all the rest of you ladies! 🙂 I also can’t wait for season 2! 🙂
You are so welcome, Jen! I loved seeing all of your creative, amazing transformations. Thanks for all you did to make season one a success. Hey, maybe we’ll do an All Stars Refashion Runway and invite former friendly contestants back to compete again…..Hmmmmmmm……food for thought…… 🙂 🙂
Ooh! Great idea! 🙂
This competition is inspiring. Hope there will be second leg. Congratulations to all! 🙂
Yes, there is a Season Two coming up. Stay tuned……
I have really looked forward to seeing all the refashions every week. You have done an excellent job of organising the competition, the refashions are inspiring. Will miss the weekly email. Food for thought, would love to see some enlarging refashions ie take something too small and make it fit.
Hi Diane, I love your idea. I’ll write that down as a possible challenge for next season.
