This week’s Refashion Runway challenge was “Denim”.
I hope you’ve had a chance to vote for your favorite! Voting will be open until midnight tonight- Friday, June 21.
Many people have been having fun just sewing along with the competition. If you are sewing along with us, feel free to send your before and after photos to bhunting@eoni.com. Check out these cute “Denim Sewalongs”:
Wow, here is Nout’s amazing transformation:

Yes, I just added another amazing refashion. I hope you’ll check it out!
I just sent you mine via email 🙂
I LOVE LOVE LOVE it. I just added it to the post. Thanks for sewing along, I hope you’ll do it next week, too. The challenge is Copycat.
Great job!
Beth
I can’t wait!
awww…. the little girl looks so pretty…. Love what you are doing with all this cloths am guessing I don’t have to throw or give out my unuse clothe anymore, rather i’ll just try this technique out and see if I don’t mess them up, thanks for posting
Hi Kimberly, If you try some of these, I’d love to see pictures of your projects!
I sure will 🙂
Oh, drat! I meant to send in my shorts-to-beach-bag. You can see it here: http://weddingdressblue.wordpress.com/2013/06/06/refashioning-those-shorts/
Plus, it was before the contest…but, I still like it!
No problem, I just posted it for you!
Cute bag!!!
Beth
These refashions are amazing and so inspiring. I just started making over a denim dress very similar to Sandpaper Kisses original garment (nudged by this week’s challenge, might I add). Now I have a different direction to think about! Thanks to all the sewalong gals for their great ideas.
Oh, I do hope you’ll send me a picture when you’re finished, Jo!!!
“Finished” might mean a picture of it in the trash 🙂 It’s my first major makeover … shall have to see how it goes!
I have confidence in you!!!
I’m so glad you’re doing the sew-a-long Beth! It’s so fun to see all of these creative ladies’ refashions! Great job everyone! 😉

I think it’s so much fun to see how everyone interprets the challenges differently.
My fave is the little girl’s dress. Here’s an idea for a refashion–how about a shower curtain to clothing challenge? Some shower curtains are soft enough for clothing plus they offer a large sheet of material. A waterproof shower curtain would make a great raincoat or windbreaker. What do you think?
That’s a great idea. It would be fun next season to have an unconventional challenge.

These are all really cool.
I really like Nout’s dress. What a transformation – from a frumpy “mom” dress to a stylish dress with sexy lines. It really shows off her hourglass figure. It’s a totally sexy vibe – totally. I bookmarked a link to her site so I can try the same thing at home.
Sarah’s shirt is really clever as well, and it looks very well made.
Thanks Jennifer! Very kind words:) xo, Nout
I love seeing everyone’s creative interpretations of the challenges.
