I can’t find my Fashion Photographer anywhere!
Had to prop the camera up on a post, set the timer, run and pose.
Hmmm, I guess Fashion Photographers are funny that way. They just don’t appreciate you photographing, using and discussing their underwear elastic. Go figure?!!?!
Anyhoo, here’s the last Refashioned Skirt of the Week:
Made, of course, just like all the others.
It’s been fun wearing a new skirt to school each day.
Do you have a favorite?

I actually have 2 faves. Fall colors and today’s, but really, I love them all….I have so much fun looking at the before and after pics. Today’s blew my mind….because if I saw that dress on a rack, I would keep looking but that skirt is very attractive and for sure, I would purchase it! HaHaHa….The eye is a very tricky thing!!!! Thanks for this very inspirational week! Have a wonderful weekend!

Thank you so much, Louise! I hope you have a lovely weekend as well!
Beth
Sorry, I can’t vote . . . you look ADORABLE in ALL of them! 🙂 Thanks for sharing your fun skirt adventures! 🙂
The Skirt Adventures…..sounds like a good title for a book to me!!!!
Thanks for all your sweet comments! Have a great weekend!
Beth
I love the Friday skirt-where do you find all those funky dresses? Date: Fri, 14 Sep 2012 12:27:42 +0000 To: cadiacetis@hotmail.com
Where else, but Bag Sale Day at PHP!!!!
You are just too talented and adorable, Beth. I can only imagine how much your students love you and what an inspiration you must be!
Awwwww, Gail, no wonder I’ve always liked you! I do have one former student that tells her mom that Mrs. Huntington always dresses “fancy”. Kindergarten students are always good for the ego.
Hugs, Beth
I just stumbled upon your blog and am thrilled that I did! Your refashioning is so inspiring. I wish I could go thrifting with you! I often find dresses like the ones you made over and always pass them up….No more! So excited to try one of these ideas myself!
Hey Karen, I’m glad you stumbled upon my blog, too! Welcome! I can’t wait to see what you try. I do have a page to share other’s projects, so if you try something, send me some pictures and I’ll post them, if you’d like.
Beth
I like them all, but I voted for the If I Were in Charge of the World skirt 🙂 Your instructions are easy to follow; thanks for sharing.
You are so welcome, Jo!
You’re really cracking me up, Beth. So your photographer didn’t like your skivvie skirt?
Fifteen year old boys are funny that way!!!!
I bet someday, he’ll see the humor in it.
I voted for the Fall Colors and Friday’s was a close second, but really, I loved them ALL! I wish I could “see” as much as you can “see” when I look at clothes and see the potential in them like you can! 🙂 Question: when you cut the top off these dresses, what do you do with what’s left (the top part)? Is there enough to refashion into a blouse or anything? I have a dress that’s two miles long (bought it from the clearance rack because of the print, and the fact I temporarily forgot I look hideous in one piece dresses) and I’m thinking of trying your skirt refashion tutorial but thinking there’ll be so much left off the top that maybe I might could do something with it too? Any suggestions???
Good Morning, Tish!
I’m actually working on a ruffled top with the top of the Day Two dress. If it turns out, I’ll be posting soon.
The other idea I had was just refashioning into another style of dress, like this dress: https://chicenvelopements.wordpress.com/2012/07/16/diy-1960s-mad-men-inspired-dress-refashion/
or this one:
https://chicenvelopements.wordpress.com/2012/07/14/diy-ten-minute-summer-dress-tutorial/
or you could even make it into a maxi skirt like this:

Good luck and I’d love to see pictures of how it turns out. And if you’d like me to post it on my “Your Projects” page i’d love to do that too.
Enjoy your Saturday!
Beth
This is such a great idea! I have a few dresses and skirts in my closet that I just put up because they I thought they weren’t cute–AT ALL. I’ve got to try this!
I hope you give it a try. You never know what a few snips of the scissors and a couple new seams might do for a garment! 🙂
Beth
You are so creative! I like them all, but I guess the colors on Day Four won me over. 🙂
I really liked those colors, too. Thanks for your comments!
Beth
cute! i like this one! all of them look great on you 🙂
I like all the skirts you did. This one is really cute, so I voted for this one. Love the story about your photographer. Very cute.
Thanks so much! Funny how 15 year old boys don’t like their mothers discussing their underwear on line. 😉 However, I do so appreciate him taking the time to photograph my “after” pics. Gotta love Cooper!
Sweet.
