Frumpaliciousness to Deliciousness
OK so here’s my attempt at refashioning a thrift store skirt to a dress. Loved the colors and the pattern but the style was so unflattering to my short pear shaped self. I just took in the sides a bit, trimmed the seam and used the trimmings to make two small shoulder straps. Paired with this jacket, belt and boots, it just might work.
Next time I’ll try to have a head. 🙂
wow, i love it beth
really cute! i just bought a dress to refashion so this is inspiring 🙂 thanks
So cute, Beth! I think I could actually (maybe) do this one! I see skirts all the time that I love the fabric and pattern, but hate the cut or the fit. I just might try this. . . .
Let me know if you’d like any help. I’d love to see your creations when you’re finished with it!
I love this! Followed you over from Niftythriftygoodwill gal! Love the mitten idea also…wish I lived close enough to join in!
I’m so glad you found me. Are you doing some refashioning? I’d love to see what you do.
LOVE it! …can’t wait to see you in it IRL 🙂
I was going to wear it yesterday but I thought there was too much snow.
Cute, so all you did was slim it up the side and made it in to a sundress ? Super cute !
Yep, just sewed up the sides a bit and made it into a sundress. EASY!
Super cute! I definitely need to give this a try!
Thanks Tracy,
I just checked out your blog and I LOVE it! Great ideas and such a good seamstress!
