These Cozy Sweater Trees are Perfect For Your Holiday Decorating and a Giveaway

A funny thing happened on the way to holiday decorating this year, I started WAY before Thanksgiving. I know, I know, you’re supposed to wait until AFTER Thanksgiving, but sometimes I just can’t help myself. The past few weekends I’ve been up in the studio  listening to Christmas music, putting up decorations, and making new ones.

These cozy sweater trees were so much fun to make and helped to transform my space into a winter wonderland with some quirky and unexpected charm.

Oh, I love these! I have a pinterest board for repurposing old sweaters and added it there. I have an off-white cable knit sweater that could be used for these. It would be cute to sew on little colored beads or tiny ornaments to add some flair! thanks for the tutorial!

These are so cute and look easy to make. I need to go to Goodwill and look for sweaters now.

  4. Barbara says:

These are the cutest trees ever — they definitely trump my 80s ceramic trees (although I just saw a catalog that sells them again :- D). I pinned to my New Uses for Old Things board. Then to my Refashion board & of course my Christmas board!!!!!

I was just in a thrift store yesterday and completely forgot to look at the sweaters for refashioning! So mad at myself.

I would love to try these and add some balsam needles to the filling. It might make up for the smell of my artificial tree.
