Rustic Chic Wedding

On this Valentine’s Day, I thought I’d share a beautiful wedding with you.

Last fall, I was blessed to be the mother of this gorgeous bride.

The rustic chic wedding took place at an amazing restored barn in High Valley, Oregon.

To me, it was magical.

There wasn’t a breath of wind and the setting sunlight was slightly orange as Katie and her dad emerged from the barn, while an old time waltz, played by Evie and Rick Mugrage on fiddle and guitar, echoed off the surrounding hills and mountains.

(I cry just thinking of it).

She looked stunning with the barn, the blue sky, and the green grass as her backdrop.

The music made this presentation even more special to view. Your daughter is absolutely beautiful! Thank you for sharing your daughter’s wedding on this Valentine’s day.

    • Oh, I’m so glad you enjoyed the music! That was the waltz that Evie and Rick played while Katie and her dad came down the aisle!

The emotion on Katie’s father’s face as they were walking down the aisle brought tears to my eyes. The music Evie and Rick played was so special. My husband and I had our wedding in a park many moons ago, and we had a group playing baroque music. We had a small wedding, with only 50 people attending, and that included guests and family! Our caterer cancelled on us a week before the wedding, so everyone helped make the food. One of my bridesmaids cancelled the day before because her boyfriend (later husband) forbid her to attend (he was extremely jealous). Weddings always bring unexpected surprises.

What are you trying to do to me?! I don’t even know your daughter and these lovely pictures with that music made me cry my eyes out! What a beautiful day. Thank you for sharing. I love the ‘spread the love’ favours too! :’)

    • Thanks for checking it out! I just wanted everyone to feel like they were there. As soon as they started to play at the wedding, I was reduced to mush. There’s something about that fiddle music……
