How to Can Peach Jam: A New One Minute Video

Social distancing can have some perks.

It’s all in how you look at it.

Hunkering down with your loved ones, getting some much needed chores accomplished, or finally having time to learn how to make something new.

Maybe learning how to do something new, lighthearted and pretty is just the ticket for these unusual days. Something like my latest eHow project:

How to Make and Preserve Homemade Peach Jam.

I know this isn’t sewing related but one of my other favorite things to do is preserve foods.

You know, like can summer peaches for winter cobblers, can green beans for hearty stews, or preserve beautiful jams to go on warm homemade rolls.

Like making 185 jars of jam as wedding favors for Katie and Adam a few years ago.

So. Much. Fun!!!

Hi Beth… Tom woodruffs niece here, I’ve been following your door a while now, and going through some is my old clothing. I have an old FELIX the cat leather jacket that I might like to have made into something else like a bag. But….I don’t sew, I only admire what you and others do. I am heading to la grande with my daughter next week for spring break to visit tom and Linda, might you have time to look it over and create something for me? I world be willing to pay you. Let me know if you’re interested Thanks so much

    • Hi Debbie,
I heard you and Sabra were heading this way. What day are you coming? Steve has a doctor’s appointment next week and with all of this craziness going on, I really don’t now what our plans are. I’d love to take a look at your jacket. Let me know when you get into town and we’ll try to set something up. đŸ™‚
