And what an adventure it will be!
Refashion Runway Season Four: All Stars has officially begun. (Cue in the trumpets)
Here’s your line up of creative All Stars for this season. I’m so honored that they will be sharing all of their inspired expertise with us again.
Welcome to Gema, from Sequins and Slippers. She will be joining us again from across the pond in England. She wowed us with her amazing refashions last season and I’m so glad she included the cool bag she made from a hat in her picture. (And her cute dog, Rod. 🙂 )
Carissa from Carissa Knits comes back to us with all of her inspired sewing tricks from the second season of Refashion Runway. As you can see she’s one talented girl!
The adorable Marisa from The Refash Stash will be amazing us with her creative takes on each challenge again from last season.
We are so lucky to welcome back Jen from Diary of a Mad Mama. We had so much fun seeing what she had up her sleeves way back in the first season.
The talented Susan from Second Chances by Susan was the winner of Season Two. I feel so fortunate that she’s joining us again, even in the middle of a new house project.
The beautiful Miche, from Buttons and Birdcages, is coming back to us from the first season. Not only does she always look amazing but I love how she photographs her fun creations!!
And a big welcome back to fellow teacher and blogger, Mary from Thrifty Chic. She joined us in the very first season of Refashion Runway and I’m really looking forward to seeing how she interprets each challenge again.
Well every one, I hope you’ll sew along with us and vote for your favorites each week.
So you can all start thinking about your projects, I’m announcing all the challenges today.
Week One: Velvet
Week Two: Metallic
Week Three: Buttons
Week Four: Tunic
Week Five: Pantone Color of the Season: Riverside
As you can see, I’ve left the challenges fairly open ended. Just remember, each garment must be original (in other words not posted on your blog already) and have a before and after picture. Also, please remember, this is a “refashion” competition so your garment must be constructed from a previous item of some kind.
I’ll be sending a schedule via email to all the contestants.
If you are “sewing along” with us, send your before and after pictures to bhunting@eoni.com. We want to see your creations, too!
One last item, if you are competing or sewing along, and you have a blog, so we can get the word out, please place a link to The Renegade Seamstress in your sidebar with this image:
Good luck!
And your challenge starts………RIGHT NOW!!
Stayed tuned for next Saturday, August 6. We’ll post the before and after pictures for Velvet Week and you’ll get to vote for your favorite.
Happy Sewing!
Beth
I’m sooooo happy your refashion runway competition is back! I love, love, love it!!!!
Thank you so much for your kind words and we’re so happy that you’ll be joining us, Susan!!
Wow! Open ended is the word! How exciting. Pleased Gema is flying the flag for us Brit sewers. I’m sure I’ll learn loads from all the ladies taking part. All that’s left to say is good luck to the refashioneers and to the sew alongers! Looking forward to next week to see your creations 🙂
No pressure then, haha!! So pleased to be a part of this incredible line-up 🙂
What a great crew! This is going to be amazing… I don’t envy the judges 😉
They are definitely going to have a tough job this season.
I can’t WAIT to see what everyone comes up with – love all these ladies’ work!!
We all love you, too!!!
So excited to be a part of this and to see what everyone else comes up with! Thanks for putting this all together yet again, Beth!
You are so very welcome, Carissa! I absolutely love putting it together. It’s always just like Christmas to me when I open up your emails to see what everyone has been creating. I’ve been known to squeal with delight a time or two. 🙂
I’ve been following Carissa for some time now. This is going to be so interesting to watch. I love Carissa’s talent and now I’m looking at all these other talented thrifters. This will be so interesting. Thanks Beth.
Thanks for this opportunity to see you girls create Carissa and also for the weekly delight I get from you in my inbox. I’ve subscribed to a few but have unsubscribed, except from your post. You’re very interesting and talented and I look forward to reading my Thursday thrifter blog. Have fun with this and I’m excited to see your creations. Good luck to all!
I feel so honored to once again be apart of Refashion Runway! The all stars edition was a genius idea on Beth’s part! I am super excited to getting creative and also seeing what all these talented ladies create! Let’s get sewing!!! 🙂
Thanks for saying “Yes”!!! I can’t wait to see what you create!!
Looking forward to the challenge and seeing everyone’s creativity! Best of Luck, Ladies!
Thanks for joining us, Tracey!
Can’t wait! I love it when you do these. 🙂
I’m so happy you’re doing this again – I love all the ideas and creativity that we’ve been treated to in the past and am looking forward to more:)
Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy!!!
Thanks Beth, I’m honored to be participating this season! What a talented group of refashionistas you have put together! Best of luck to each of the lovely ladies!
I’m looking forward to seeing what everyone is making. It’s always so inspiring. I loved that bag from a hat! Refashioning is such a good exercise in thinking way outside the proverbial box!
So Beth, I have to ask. Would velour be legal for the first challenge vs. velvet?
Yes, I think velour would be close enough. 🙂
Yay!
