Some people make sweaters for their husbands. Some people make sweaters for their dogs. Some people even make sweaters for their cats.
I like to make sweaters for my boots.
I mean really! If it makes them happy, WHY NOT!!!??
You can use any old sweater and a little faux fur to give your old boots a whole new look this winter.

Thanks so much for, once again, brightening my day, Mother Deer!
How cozy these boot sweaters look! So many times a favorite sweater can no longer be worn and what a wonderful way of giving it a new life instead of having to say”goodbye”!
Thanks, Darlene! So many sweaters….so little time 🙂
I never met a boot that did not like a new sweater! Love your new idea!
Boots are funny that way……. 🙂
I know! Wait til you meet my flip flops! 🙂
These are adorable! I think that I might have to give you your own board instead of just adding you to I Love Fabric….you are so clever. 🙂
Thanks!!!! You made my day!
*Gasp* Oh, I love these!!
Oh, you are so sweet Tondra Denise!!! Thank you!
Aw, they are so cute – I just want to pat them! Seriously, though, I can see this definitely keeping the legs warmer in this cold weather we’ve been having.
Feel free to pat my boot sweaters anytime, Jo H. 🙂
I have seen some cute ideas lately on Pinterest, under Bohemian things, for dressing up
boots too, very tempting and interesting. Beth, I found a new goodwill, that is the nicest store I was ever in, and was so happy to discover a beautiful wool throw, in plaids, I was looking for a leather vest, or jacket to repurpose with sweater sleeves too, I found a denium vest, and a
velour vest, that I brought home, now to find a couple sweaters in blues, to see if they would
pair up? Your ideas are really inspiring me!!!!
I’m so gad you found a good thrift store with lots of treasures, Vicky! You never know what might be waiting for you there. 🙂 Have fun!
Such a delightful idea! I have immediate plans to check the thrift stores for a cute Nordic-style sweater to make a pair for my boots! My feet are always cold, so I’m hoping this could help. Thank you for the opportunity to win a copy of your book and for sharing your wonderfully creative ideas with us!
You are so very welcome, Ruth!!! I hope you find the perfect sweater to use for your boot sweaters!
So cute! And they look warm, too! I’ve got a Craft Gossip post scheduled for this afternoon that links to your tutorial:
