Since many of us are staying home these days, here’s a comfy DIY idea to make for some serious snuggle time with your kids or grandkids. This just might be a good time to be making holiday gifts. Or maybe just make one for yourself. 🙂
WARNING: There’s some cuteness up ahead.

Whether watching a favorite movie, reading a good book or just relaxing next to a warm fire, this floor pillow mat will keep you cozy and comfy. Bring it along when you’re camping, take it on sleepovers or wherever an extra bed or mattress is needed. It just takes a couple of yards of soft fleece and four standard sized pillows to make one of these snug cushions. Just a word of warning though — if you have kids, you’ll need to make more than just one.

This is really cute. I like the idea of using fleece rather than fabric for the construction. In the video and photos, it appears that the sides are sewn shut, but the instructions don’t mention doing that. Please explain 🙂
Thank you Mother Deer! Only three sides are sewn shut. One of the long sides is open so you can remove the pillows and wash. I hope this helps, please let me know if you have any other questions. 🙂
Adorable! That has to be your granddaughter—she looks just like you! Same eyes, same smile. ❤️
Awwwwww! Thanks Anny! Yep, she’s my cute little granddaughter. So fun to have little willing models. 🙂
I want to make this some day. Watch the video. So easy!
IO hope you get a chance to try this. Super easy and fun to make. AND it’s washable. 🙂
This is be a great way to make use of extra pillows in my closet. Really cool idea!
Thanks, KT! It was super easy to do also. 🙂
Hi… so fun to see your floor pillow mat. My dear daughter made these a couple of years ago for our 4 grand-kids for Christmas. They loved them… use them for watching movies in their theater room and just plain ole watching tv. Plus they make a comfy place for reading too. Thanks for all you do.
Thank YOU Jean! I hope you and all of your loved ones are staying safe and healthy. 🙂
