Wow! It’s hard to believe that we’ve been doing this blogging thing together for 6 years now. From my very first tutorial to 5 fun seasons of Refashion Runway to publishing The Refashion Handbook to creating videos that have received millions of views. It’s been quite the adventure and I want to thank you for being by my side for it all.
I’m soon going to have more time to improve The Renegade Seamstress and since you are the reason I do what I do, I naturally want to know what you think would make this a better site.

I wasn’t able to submit after taking the survey and filling in my information. It simply did nothing. Help! Was I correct to list the website as “therenegadeseamstress.com”?
Hi Judy, I did receive your survey. Were you able to click on the “vote” button after answering each question?
Judy, I had the same issues with a number of different links to the questions. I voted on each one separately. Also, there was no form at the end of the email (I use Yahoo, if that makes a difference). I don’t read a ton of sewing blogs because I’ve been sewing for 50 years. It is fun, though, to see your creativity in doing refashions from second-hand garments. I also read a blog or two that show projects in process and when finished. I don’t have a lot of time to sew, but am trying to do more now that I’m retired.

No problem here voting for each question! I read a lot of sewing and quilting blogs and am always learning something new. Lately, I’ve gained back my interest in sewing clothing for myself (especially since losing weight), so garments and patterns are catching my eye!

For me the hardest part is getting started. I bought a beautiful Viking machine years ago and the darn thing intimates me! I miss the old machines that had frontward and a lever to back stitch! I miss the simplicity, and feeling dumber than my machine…?
Yes, getting started is sometimes the hardest part. I actually use a 1970’s Singer Genie that I found at a thrift store a few years ago. I LOVE it! I have similar problems with the poll as teh others did before me. I did answer all the questions but never found a form to enter my information.

I love your blog because of the upcycling. That’s my big sewing passion at the moment because a) I love that it keeps more clothing out of landfill b) it’s usually quick and I’m in a very busy time of life right now, and c) it’s cheap and if I make a mistake I’m not so bothered as I would be with new fabric!
I prefer photo tutorials because I find “rewinding” videos to watch the same bit over and over really annoying.
I’m a beginner and I was a Plus Size and loosing weight, a lot of weight! I’d like to know how to ADD sleeves to sleeveless dresses and blouses.

Will there be another season of Refashion Runway? I have really enjoyed them.
I know that you haved refashioned sweaters but have you ever done anything with knit pieces that look like someone did a sweater front sample that is a large rectangle with ribbing at one end and waste yarn at the other? I’m trying to think of ideas that will put them to their best use.
