I'm a busy wife, mom, grandma, and teacher who loves to create. I've joined the refashion scene and I 'd like to share and connect with all those talented and creative people out there doing similar things.
great video! very clear.
I would like to suggest an even easier way to put the “new” dress together. since you had to cut the side seams and the sleeve seams open anyway, and since some new sewers are intimidated by sewing that circle of the sleeve inside the dress—you could sew the sleeve to the dress body while the pieces are flat and then sew the dress side seam and sleeve underarm seam. production sewing of ready to wear is often done this way because it is quicker and requires less skill.
Okay, was I the only one dancing at 9:24 as the sleeves were being sewn on? Anyway, I LOVED this and learned something new… (sewing sleeves has always been a little intimidating, but this made it so doable!) Thanks for sharing.
Great video!
