It’s no secret that I love parties!
The bigger, the better. The more the merrier. So many reasons for a party, so little time. I truly am a walking party cliche. 🙂
To me, one of the best things about the holiday parties (besides the cranberry salsa) is the opportunity to dress up. A faux fur collar is such a festive holiday accessory and they are super easy to make.
So, grab some faux fur, lining, newsprint, scissors, a measuring tape, a marker, come with me to eHow and I’ll show you how easy it is to make.

This is so great!! And look absolutely adorable in your new fur-collared coat!
Thanks, Mary Ellen! I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Very well written tutorial Beth, and a cute idea. I like the comment about using leopard print fabric.
I have pinned; please enter me in the drawing 🙂
Hi Mother Deer! I think Victoria’s teal coat would look great with a leopard faux fur collar. Thanks for pinning!
That is so cool looking. I am hoping to do some things like that once I get settled after moving. Then maybe I can help others refurbish things.
Thank you, Nina! I hope you enjoy making it and good luck with your move.
Lovely coat and pictures, thank you for another inspiring refashion!

Oh my… how fast can I get dressed and drive to the fabric store for some faux fur! I LOVE this idea! What a great way to update a current coat or add some flash to an outfit for the holidays… Thanks for sharing this project. In this challenging time, we are all looking for ways to update what we already have in our closets. I Pinned it to my Sewing Studio Board and would be delighted to win your creative book. Thank you!
Warm regards,
Ruth L
